Who We Are
Last modified: July 20, 2010Starting out as a one-man operation, From Russia with Glove has evolved to a consistent team of dedicated, Russian-born, hockey enthusiasts.
Creator Sergei Miledin, a Moscow native and a recent graduate of Hunter College in New York City started the site in hopes of showcasing the NHL’s Russian talent. The site launched days before the trade deadline of 2009 and began almost instantly receiving hits from all the curious fans around the NHL.
For the 2009-10 season, FRWG has thankfully gotten Sergey Zikov on the ice as well. Sergey is an undergrad from the University of Pittsburgh who originally hails from St.Petersburg.
Both Sergei and Sergey put their pride aside for their home cities and NHL teams Miledin (Devils) Zikov (Penguins) to spread the word for the world’s most exciting players.
