Sergei Bobrovsky Wins Second Career Vezina

Wednesday night in Las Vegas saw Columbus netminder Sergei Bobrovsky win top honors amongst goalies for the second time in his career.

The 30-year-old was the favorite to win against the likes of Carey Price and Braden Holtby, as he lead the league with a 2.06 goals against average and a .931% save percentage.

Already the only Russian to win the Vezina in NHL history, the Novokuznetsk naitive doubled down on the honor. Bobrovsky was a major factor in Colombus’s near-historic start to the season which saw the club win 16 games straight. Bob was also nominated against a heavily favored tandem of Sidney Crosby and Connor McDavid.
